The RED V-RAPTOR 8K VV is RED's flagship DSMC3 body, and one of the fastest, most flexible cameras you can hire. Its 8K full-frame VV sensor captures enormous detail with the wide dynamic range and deep colour RED built its name on. For commercials, music videos and features where resolution and reframing room matter, it is a strong first choice, and it stays compact while doing it.

Speed is the headline. The V-RAPTOR shoots up to 120fps at 8K full-frame, and past 240fps at lower resolutions, so you can cover dramatic slow motion without changing cameras. Everything records in REDCODE RAW, which stays gradable and keeps file sizes sensible. Multi-format recording lets you move between 8K full-frame, Super 35 and the resolutions in between, so one body handles a wide spread of jobs.

It is modular by design. Build it up into a full studio rig or strip it back for gimbal, drone and handheld work. The VV sensor suits full-frame and large-format glass, including the rehoused vintage lenses and anamorphics in our range, which give that big sensor real character.

Every V-RAPTOR goes out tested and prepped from our facility, and you can build and calibrate it on site before collection. We have backed Sydney's productions since 2003, with experienced technicians, same day city service and delivery Australia wide.
